lg optimus g2 price in india, features and specifications

A South Korean mobile phone maker is reportedly gearing up for the launch of Optimus G Android smartphone, with early rumours pointing to an Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie device with a Full HD 1080p display.

Reports from Korea’s MK Business News, LG plans on packing the smartphone with a quad-core processor with each core clocked in at 2GHz.In fact, the company is said to have partnered with Qualcomm for the inclusion of its Snapdragon S4 MSM8974 chipset inside the upcoming device. At the same time, the smartphone is expected to arrive on shelves with a full HD touchscreen display, which will have 1080p resolution.

Samsung is rumored to be hard at work on a a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel panel capable of delivering a pixel density of 440ppi. Reportedly, LG has already started to produce the screen. The good news is LG Optimus G2 will ship with the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Operating system loaded on it.

At the same time, Optimus G2 reportedly packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, in line with some of the latest high-end devices out there.

There is no word on internal memory yet, but if LG wants the phone to be competitive, it will probably equip it with at least 32 GB, if not double that amount.

An originally leaked launch schedule saw LG planning to release its Optimus G successor in the second half of 2013, but MK’s sources claim that the company is now pushing things forward with a plan to launch the device as early as May in order to compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy S4.

Apparently there’s no specs sheet for the moment, which means LG is still in the process of adding the phone’s hardware. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
